Saving Lives In Singapore
Breaking News:
In Singapore, an Australian man was put to death on Friday on drug related charges.
Mr. Nguyen received a mandatory death sentence after he was caught in 2002 at Singapore's airport on his way home to Melbourne carrying about 14 ounces of heroin.
Singapore has executed more than 100 people for drug-related offences since 1999, saying its tough laws and penalties are an effective deterrent against a crime that ruins lives.
Unsound Judgement:
It seems that by killing people, Singapore officials believe they are saving lives.
If they really were concerned about saving lives though, they would ban their cab drivers from eating curry while on the job!
